Robots are going to make life a lot easier for people with disabilities and mobility issues. The WalkON Suit F1 is a powered exoskeleton that walks itself. It is designed to let people dealing with paraplegia transfer easily from a wheelchair and walk independently. As you can see around 1:38 in the below video, this robot can be worn from the front.
This exoskeleton has a weight-balancing system to prevent falls. Professor Hyunjoon Park of the Department of Industrial Design at KAIST is behind this design. Due to improvements in various areas, including motor and reducer modules, this model offers about double the power-to-weight ratio of previous models.
