Here is a robotic hand that can grasp objects from both sides with its fingers. It also can detach from its robotic arm to grab items that are outside of its reach. When the robot grabs an item, it uses its other 3 fingers to bring it back. From what we can tell, this crawling robot hand detaches magnetically.
