Stanford’s SwarmHaptics: Haptic Display with Swarm Robots

Here is a haptic display that uses small wheeled robots to apply haptic patterns to the user’s hand and other accessible body parts. SwarmHaptics can be used for notifications, directional cues, and remote touch.

As Stanford researchers explain, various haptic parameters of these robots can be controlled, including frequency, amplitude, structure, and distribution.
