Remember Spot from Boston Dynamics? This versatile robot dog now has a smaller sibling. SpotMini is an all-electric robot dog weighing 55 lbs without its arm. It runs 90 minutes on a full charge. SpotMini is quiet and has sensors such as solid state gyro, depth cameras, and proprioception sensors to navigate and manipulate items.
The robot can perform certain tasks autonomously but needs human guidance for complex tasks. As the below video shows, SpotMini can move objects, run around, climb the stairs, get up after slipping on banana peels, and even bring its owner a drink.
