Boston Dynamics’ Spot just got a lot better. Spot now feature acoustic vibration sensing, so it can monitor your equipment for changes in sound signatures caused by wear and tear. Spot performs ultrasonic inspections of rotating equipment using the Fluke SV600. You will be able to capture more data without installing inline sensors.
As the company explains, they have also added a laser scanning integration to Orbit to allow for reality capture missions. The above videos show how some of these features work.
