Robotic wearables are going to become more of a thing in the future as sensors, motors, and other tech advance. Researchers at the Wyss Institute at Harvard University have created textile-based sensors to register motor movements of the human body. The technology can be used to create soft, wearable robots for a variety of tasks.

These sensors were made with a thin sheet of silicone with two layers of silver-plated conductive fabric. These sensors register movement by measuring the change in capacitance.
