Meet SoFi: CSAIL’s soft robotic fish designed to swim along fish under water. MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory designed this robot to swim at depths of more than 50 feet for up to 40 minutes. It uses its undulating tail and controls its own buoyancy. A waterproofed Super Nintendo Controller is used to make the robot perform specific moves.
Must see robots & drones:
SoFi is capable of diving up and down and swimming in straight lines. A Linux PC is embedded in its head while a hydraulic pump moves the tail.
