Here is a snake robot developed by Osue Construction and Motoyasu Tanaka’s laboratory that can be used for inspecting underground pits at construction sites. It can climb over steps up to 600mm in height. It can run for up to 3 hours.
As Robot Start explains, Osue Construction, University of Electro-Communications, and Aktio are planning to commercialize the product in the future.
