Remember SARA? It is a lightweight robot designed for human-robot collaboration. It weighs only 22.6kg and has 7 degrees of freedom. It delivers speed up to 400 degrees per second on its axis. The robot has toque sensors in each joint and a force-torque-sensor at the base.
The robot is taught how to handle components via demonstration by hand and exerting forces to them. The above video shows how such robotic arm can be used to assemble an airplane window.
