Meet the Rooster: a hybrid drone robot system that combines a flying machine with a ground vehicle to complete missions. The drone flies the robot over a short distance to bypass obstacles. The Rooster has a foldable hex-rotor drone that weighs 8 pounds and can lift up to 10 lbs. The mini-robot, called Iris, has cameras, LED lights, and microphones and can be controlled from distance of up to 700 feet.
