Robots have been used in the past to observe wildlife. This Robotic Wild Dog Pup is quite special though. It has 24 moving parts to mimic the body language of African wild dogs. It adopts a submissive posture and wags its tail.
The robot has a skeleton with articulated metal limbs controlled by advanced servos. The moves are programmed and tested in advance. As the above video explains, it takes months to build.
