We have seen plenty of robots playing soccer. As it turns out, they can also play American Football. Robotic football began in 2011 as a senior design project for engineering students in Notre Dame. It is now an annual tournament with 6 mid-western universities participating.

The bots are controlled by human players. The quarterback can hand the ball to running backs or throw to wide receivers. The above video shows how these robots work.
