Robotic Decaking of 3D-printed Parts

Robots automating 3D printing tasks is nothing new. We have covered a bunch of them in the past. The CRI Group posted a video that shows a robotic system for automated decaking of 3D printed parts (removing residual powder that sticks to parts).

The idea is to use deep learning, motion planning, and force control to develop a system to automatically decake parts efficiently. You can read the paper here.
