Here is a robot that makes life easier for schoolchildren who are visually impaired. Created at EPFL, Cellulo is a hand-sized robot that helps children get around their classroom. They simply have to move the robot around a map of the room to get notified when it bumps into something.

The robot helps children visualize their classroom in 2D and understand where furniture items are. Teachers can also program the robot to follow a path.
