Robots are going to play bigger roles in our lives in the future, including saving people’s life. As it turns out, a Promobot was recently captured on video saving a child’s life. As she started climbing metal shelves, the robot moved towards them and used its hand to stop the fall.
The robot had the mirror mode on, so it was simply emulating the movements of the person in its field of view. Mirror Online has more on the story here.
