Here is an autonomous driving platform that was created at a HackDay event @ Clearpath using a Losi RC car and a few smart sensors and components. The team transformed this car into a 1/5th scale autonomous driving development platform by adding a “Velodyne laser scanner, Novatel GPS and Point Grey Flea3 camera.”
The car has its own battery and onboard computer with ROS. The above video shows this autonomous RC car in action.
