Robots are already being used to monitor sensitive areas for businesses 24/7. This Chinese police robot is capable of patrolling railway stations. It stands 1.3m tall, weighing 100kg. It uses face recognition and can work in dark conditions.
The robot is smart enough to plan its patrol routes automatically. It is being used at a railway station in China’s Liaoning province. If the test is successful, more of these robots will be deployed.
