Teleoperated robots are nothing new. They have been used in the past for inspection, remote meetings and other similar tasks. This teleoperated robot is more flexible and can perform boxing moves with precision. As this video from IHMC Robotics shows, this robot can follow every move of its operator. It is remotely controlled with a simple VR motion capture setup.
This robot has a high power-to-weight ratio and large range of motion. It can be used for firefighting, disaster response, and other challenging missions.
