3D printers are getting more advanced all the time. A new 3D printing tech has been developed to create multi-material robots. It can print with 8 materials from one nozzle. The printer can print with multiple nozzles for complex prints.
As the researchers explain, they printed a a “Miura origami pattern and a millipede-like soft robot that locomotes by co-printing multiple epoxy and silicone elastomer inks of stiffness varying by several orders of magnitude.”
