Here is a project that should attractive to Star Trek fans: Steve Studnicki has managed to recreate Lt. Commander Data’s Android Child “Lal” with Alexa support. The robot can move, respond to voice commands, and recognize objects. According to the maker, the robot is about 4ft. tall, weighing about 13 lbs.
