This Transforming Wheeled-Legged Robot Can Open Doors

0

In the past few years, we have covered plenty of wheeled- robots that can complete tasks not possible by regular quadruped robots. Opening doors can be a challenge for them though. Researchers have now adapted the idea of Random Network Distillation to enable robots to move and manipulate simultaneously. As you can see in the below video, a wheeled legged robot can now open doors:

THeMIS RCV Robotic Combat Vehicle with MIFIK Autonomous System

0

The THeMIS RCV Robotic Combat Vehicle was introduced a couple of years ago. It can provide support in combat zones. The THeMIS RCV with MIFIK has autonomous operation capabilities. It enables commanders to set their vehicles to conduct on & off-road missions. MIFIK relies on artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithm to reduce the need for human intervention.

This is the LG CLOi CarryBot: a logistics robot designed to increase operational efficiency in warehouses. It relies on a 3D camera and LiDAR sensor for safe operation. These robots feature autonomous driving. The below video from RobotLAB shows this robot in action:

GaRo Autonomous Server Carrying Robot for Data Centers

0

In the past few years, we have covered a whole host of robots that carry and deliver items at restaurants and offices. The GaRo is an autonomous mobile robot for data centers. It can carry servers and other heavy assets. It has max load capacity of up to 400kg.

자율운송 로봇, 가로(GaRo) - 데이터센터 각 세종 로봇

This robot can reach speeds up to 2m/s. It comes with predictable navigation tech to auto adjust speed and motion and operate safely around humans.

Here is another robot that teaches you Python and graphical programming. The UGOT Robotic Kit has a modular design and comes with everything you need to build 7 robots. It has motion tracking, posture recognition, and visual tag recognition. It combines with your phone to unlock the FPV mode.

mCLARI Shape Changing Insect Scale Soft Robot

0

This is the mCLARI: a shape changing insect inspired robot capable of omnidirectional movement in confined spaces. This micro bot has a 20mm body, weighing 0.97g. It has 4 independently actuated leg modules with 2 degrees of freedom, driven by piezoelectric actuators.

Robot Assisted Busbar Laser Welding

0

In the past few years, we have covered plenty of fancy laser welding robots here. This Busbar laser welding cell by Laserax is also worth a look. It uses FANUC SR-6iA SCARA robots to “eliminate gaps between busbars and cells for battery modules and packs.”

Fully Foldable Origami Inspired Robots

0

Folding robots are a growing field that are changing the way we design robots. Origami robots are thinner, lighter, and more flexible. NSF researchers have taken it to the next level by eliminating the rigid computer chips needed to enable advanced capabilities. Their origami robots are fully foldable and can perform various complex tasks. The below video shows these robots in action:

Dingo 1.5 Modular Indoor Robotic Platform
