We have seen plenty of interesting robots capable of solving a rubik’s cube puzzle in under a second. This Rubik’s Cube Robot is capable of solving itself. A computer and motors were embedded inside it to get the job done. The robot keeps rotating when the puzzle is scrambled until the puzzle is solved.
Not the fastest robot around but still a pretty fun project to try.

So how do you deal with rogue drones? You can always catch them with an advanced anti-drone system and haul them to a safe zone or take them out with laser. This video shows the Raytheon CUAS Laser Dune Buggy taking out an unmanned aerial vehicle with laser from a mile away.

There are plenty of humanoid and hexapod robots money can buy these days. If you are into DIY electronics, you can build your own robots. Take Capers II for instance: it is a hexapod robot you can build with an Arduino compatible robot controller (Botboarduino), SSC-32U Servo Controller, a PS2 controller and 18 high-torque analog servos.
Getting robots to take giant steps over gaps while maintaining balance is not always straight forward. Guangdong University of Technology researchers are tackling this problem by using small ducted fans embedded in the feet of robots. The goal is to change the robot’s center of gravity to allow it to maintain balance while crossing wide gaps.
