We have covered plenty of robotic snakes here in the past. They can be used to perform missions in areas not suitable for a human. LaserSnake2 is a robot capable of laser cutting. It was recently used to cut curved and flat mild and stainless steel up to 40mm.
The robot has HD inspection cameras and high powered LEDs with a modular arm up to 4.5m in length. These systems can prove useful in nuclear decommissioning tasks.
