Robots are going to do many things for us in the future, including completing non-repetitive surface finishing tasks such as sanding and polishing. Team ARF’s idea is an automated robotic finishing solution for human-robot collaboration. Humans get to make the decisions while robots complete the tasks.
The system integrates with off-the-shelf tools. A Two-robot LBR iiwa system with advanced algorithms were used to handle intricate parts. Real-time notifications are sent to smart devices when human attention is required.
