Building your own robot doesn’t have to cost a fortune. The Koch v1.1 Low-Cost Robot Arm comes with everything you need to get started. It has the servos and various necessary parts. You can print the rest using a 3D printer. This robot arm uses Dynamixel XL430 and XL330 servos. It is based on Hugging Face’s LeRobot framework.
As the above video shows, this robot can be completed for $400. You can use LeRobot machine learning to train your robot with a simple few moves. This is based on Alexander Koch’s design.
