Robots are expected to replace many human workers. We might soon rely on them to get our orders at restaurants. In fact, SoftBank’s humanoid robot Pepper is getting a job at Pizza Hut. It will be able to take and process entire customer orders. The robot will help visitors make selections and customize their orders.
As the Verge explains, the robot makes hand gestures and speaks in a friendly voice not to make visitors uncomfortable. Pepper will be able to handle customer payments as well. As it turns out, the developer version of the robot will be available for around $1800 in July.
