Meet the HAMR-JR: an agile cockroach inspired robot developed by researchers at Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and the Harvard Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering. It is about the size of a penny, measuring 2.25cm in body length, weighing about 0.3 grams.
The robot can run about 14 body lengths per second, making it one of the fastest microbots we have seen.
