Here is a fully actuated aerial vehicle that uses two actuators for position and orientation control. As Modlab UPenn explains, this aircraft can accurately track trajectories with lateral accelerations in excess of 1m/s2. That means all 6 degrees of freedom during flight are controlled with the 2 actuators.
