Playing foosball against yourself is not a lot of fun. A robot capable of holding its own against humans is a more interesting challenge. EPFL students have developed a table-football robot that can compete against players with average skills.
The robot has linear and rotational motors to move the players and kick the ball. A camera is used behind the transparent display below the board to track the ball and players. The goal is to make this robot smarter and pit multiple robots against each other.
