Drones being used in winter sports is nothing new. More companies are exploring this idea though. As RT reports, Latvia’s Aerones has built a powerful drone capable of dragging 4 snowboarders at the same time. It is controlled using a remote control and has a max speed of 150 km/h but the safe speed for droneboarding is much lower.

According to the developers, the drone is capable of lifting up to 145kg of weight. For those of you interested, Aerones has also tried using drones to pull wakeboarders.
