Landing a drone on a high speed canoe is challenging on its own. It is even more difficult to get it done with an autonomous drone. Createk Engineering Lab has shared a video that shows a multi-rotor UV performing autonomous landing on a canoe at speeds up to 2.5km/h.
As the researchers explain, this was pulled off with friction shock absorbers and reverse thrust.
