In the past few years, we have covered a whole host of snake robots for search and rescue missions and inspection jobs. The dragon LaserSnake is a flexible snake-arm robot recently deployed to work on the highly radioactive core of the DRAGON reactor.
The robot has a flexible body and can slice through thick vessels. It can also maneuver through small holes and confined spaces.
