Meet Cue3: a basketball robot that can shoot the ball with extreme accuracy. It stands 204cm and uses a time-of-flight camera to measure the distance to its surrounding objects by laser to determine the exact location of the hoop. Its AI brain learns from ball trajectory data to adjust shooting strength.
Cue3 was developed by Toyota engineers. This generation has a longer shooting range, so it can shoot from mid-court. At a recent event, the robot went 10 for 10 with its shots.
