Meet the AxiDraw MiniKit: a more compact version of this pen plotter that you can build on your own to experiment. It only requires a pair of scissors, screwdrivers, and other simple tools. The AxiDraw MiniKit has a working area of 6 × 4 inches. It can still write letters, sign documents, and produce art.
The AxiDraw MiniKit is available for $325. It is expected to start shipping in December.
