In the past few years, we have covered plenty of clever robots for moon exploration. Astrolab’s FLEX is a versatile rover that will be launched on the upcoming SpaceX Mission to the Moon. This robot has a modular design and can transport load, conduct science, and deploy specialized systems on the lunar surface.
The vehicle can be controlled from Earth but it was also designed to serve as an unpressurized rover for a crew of two astronauts on the lunar surface.
