Remember the Ascento Robot? It is an agile jumping robot that can move quickly on flat terrain and overcome obstacles. It uses springs and high torque motors to climb stairs and other obstacles. As this video shows, this robot can be used for automatic security patrolling of areas around businesses and properties.
This robot has an all weather construction. Guards can teach Ascento a new route and show it points of interest to look at easily. When the robot detect an anomaly, it can trigger an alarm.
