This is Arthur by ROPCA ApS and KUKA: an arthritis robot based on the LBR Med that helps with the early diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis using robot assisted ultrasound. It allows autonomous examination, addressing the shortage of specialists in this field.
The process is fully automatic: the patient has to identify themselves with a unique ID, apply ultrasound gel as instructed, and place their hands on a touchscreen display. The robot moves and lands softly on the joints and takes ultrasound pictures for AI analysis.
