Soccer playing robots are nothing new. We have covered a bunch of them here in the past. This video shows ARTEMIS going through outdoor training for RoboCup. As the researchers explain, this can be challenging due to strong sun rays interfering with the vision system, robot overheating from direct sunlight, and instabilities due to wind.
