Remember the Husky UGV? It is a versatile machine that can adapt to a wide variety of outdoor tasks. The AgRob V16b is based on this platform. A team from the Laboratory of Robotics and IoT for Smart Precision Agriculture and Forestry at INESC TEC – Technology and Science are creating a ROS stack solution with advanced agricultural path planning and localization packages to enable the robot to adapt to steep slopes.
As the team explains, this UGV was enhanced with a 3D LiDAR, stereo camera, IMU, and GNSS receptor. It has a Dynamixel Pro Robot Arm (Manipulator-H) from ROBOTIS for harvesting and pruning.
