Meet the AE100 : a robotic perception system for autonomous cars based on iDAR technology. The system consists of “MOEMS LiDAR, pre-fused and bore-sighted with a low-light HD video camera; distributed artificial intelligence; and software-definable and extensible hardware.”
Thanks to iDAR technology, vehicles will be able to capture everything in a scene for analysis to offer a safer experience. The AE100 is faster with shorter scan gaps and offering 25 feet of faster response distance at average highway speeds. It also has a higher resolution than current LiDAR system.
