ABB IRB 8700 Robot Gets a Large Googly Eye

Here is an ABB IRB 8700 with a giant Googly Eye that can sense and react to human movements. It was done as a collaboration with Madeline Gannon. She uses NVIDIA’s Isaac Sim along with ABB’s RobotStudio and depth-sensing cameras to track where a person is moving and how the robot should respond. The eye leans towards you if you move towards it. The below video shows it in action:
