This Mini Flea-Sized Robot Can Jump 87 Times Further Than Its Body Length

Here is a tiny robot designed by Ruide Yun, a Ph.D. student at Beihang University, in Beijing, and his team that can jump 87 times further and 45 times higher than its own body length and height. As the video from IEEE Spectrum suggest, this is achieved using a similar system to a piston engine.

This robot was able to jump as far as 296.25mm in experiments.
