Here is an intelligent robot that can handle the task of thinning peach trees. GTRI’s Robot uses LiDAR & GPS to self navigate through peach orchards. It uses a 3D camera to determine which peachlets need to be removed to allow bigger and better peaches to grow. It grabs them using a claw-like device.
