LG is the latest company planning to bring a UVC robot to the market. It has announced development of an autonomous UVC robot to disinfect high-traffic, high-touch areas. These robots are being made for education, retail, and transportation businesses.

The robot will have a built-in safety lock activated by human motion sensors to reduce chances of accidental exposure to UV rays. Its motion sensors are effective up to a 16ft radius.
