RoboCup events are quite fun to follow. You will be able to catch a variety of robots at these events. The OP-AmP is a soccer bot designed for RoboCup. It features WiFi, motor driver, and kick modules. It can detect the ball with its IR sensors, dribble, and kick it with a curve.
